Tonight, a number of children who are meant to be self-isolating came on to school site to collect siblings. There have also been reports of pupils who should be isolating being in town today. Please can we stress the importance of any person who has been in contact with a positive case of Covid-19 remaining in isolation at home until the end of the isolation period. This is regardless of whether or not a negative Covid test has been received. Only the child who has been identified as the close contact needs to isolate. Your car can become an extension of your home and you can drop off a sibling in the car park so long as the isolating child does not leave the car.
If an isolating child develops symptoms, their whole household must begin self-isolating and take a PCR test.
We need every member of the community to play their part in preventing further spread of the virus.
Please help us by following the guidance.
