Reception and Pre-School Stay and Play Sessions for New Starters

Hello Parents/Carers

We are really looking forward to meeting you at the stay and play sessions for

Seals Wednesday 8th July and Penguins Thursday 9th July.

All sessions will run from 2.30-3.30pm outside on the school playground.

-We are hoping to have good weather, however in the event of bad weather the session will be held in the large school hall.

We just wanted to give you some more information about how this session will run.

-We will be following social distancing guidelines. When entering the school please do not congregate in groups and use the 2m markers to wait to enter. Use the hand sanitiser stations before entering and when leaving the school playground. We will be there to greet you and sign you in!

-We will be talking to you about how your child will start school, information about school uniform, lunchtimes and answer any questions you may have. There will be an opportunity to sign up for a stay and play session for September. There will be no access into the classrooms at this time due to children being in bubbles. The September stay and plays will give you the chance to familiarise  your child and yourself with their classroom environment.

-There will be time for the children to play with a few activities on the playground (all spread out). Please be mindful that children may play together and that if there are more children at an activity, move on to another one and come back to it later. We will be cleaning equipment regularly and there will be access to hand sanitiser.

-We ask that you remain fully responsible for your child during this session as staff will be ensuring they meet all children and their parent/carer.

-If your child has any symptoms of COVID or is unwell at all please do not attend the session to keep everyone safe.

-Please do not bring siblings to the session as we are trying to ensure we do not have a mass gathering of people and this will enable us to manage social distancing measures more safely. Also one parent per child.

-If you have any worries or can't make the session, please email us or contact the school office to arrange a stay and play session for Sept.

-If you have not already returned your child's reception starter paperwork, please bring with you to the session.

We look forward to seeing you soon
