Summer Reading Challenge 2020
Summer Reading Challenge
The Summer Reading Challenge is back!
This year it will be completely online as of course the local libraries are shut due to the COVID19 pandemic. Silly Squad celebrates funny books, happiness and laughter. Children taking part in the Challenge will join the Silly Squad, an adventurous team of animals who love to have a laugh and get stuck in to all different kinds of funny books!
To sign up to the challenge, click on the link below and follow the instructions to the SILLY SQUAD. If you don't have a library card you can also sign up for one online.

Need a library card, click on this link - https://www.librarieswest.org.uk/client/en_GB/default/?rm=JOIN+THE+LIBRA0%7c%7c%7c1%7c%7c%7c0%7c%7c%7ctrue
Having a library card account will give you access to a huge online library of e-books. Once you have signed up to the challenge, you will be able to start setting your profile with a member of the Silly Squad and begin to earn badges.
You can also set the number of books you want to read over the summer. We recommend 6 books, which will work out as one per week. You can challenge yourself with more if you like.
Anyone who completes 6 books over the summer will earn 5 rainbow stickers or 5 merit marks.
Happy reading :-)
