Each year on Census Day, the government calculates a portion of our funding based on the number of children having a school meal – both free school meals and paid ones count. The more meals served, the more funding our school receives. Census day this year is 2 October. We are running a special menu to encourage more children to try something new.

The school census also helps determine:

• Pupil Premium (extra funding for disadvantaged pupils)
• Early Years Entitlement
• PE and Sports Premium
• Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support
