Following the communications from school yesterday, I have a further statement from Avon and Somerset Police.

A statement from Neighbourhood Inspector Lee Kerslake:

"Yesterday morning (18 March) we received a report that a threatening email had been sent to the school.
An investigation was immediately launched and it was deemed that the email was not credible and that there was no risk to any member of the public.
Our investigation, which follows well-tested processes, has also established that a similar message was also received by an organisation in another part of the country.
Police officers attended the school yesterday as a precaution and PCSOs from the neighbourhood team will be at the school today and will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have"

They want to reassure parents that all actions taken were inline with our safeguarding policy and procedures. Pupils and staff were safe at all times and continue to be so. Please come and speak to the school if you have any further concerns or queries.
