The Designated Teacher is responsible for championing the educational needs of looked after children and care experienced children in school.  The designated teacher is responsible for complete PEP's for each child who is in care or care experienced.  A PEP is a Personal Education Plan which sets out targets for children and is reviewed 3 times per year.  The role of the designated teacher is to ensure looked after children have good quality PEPs.
